In 2008, I started working at Mas Darovie, the property of Kylli and Blanca, as part of my job cleaning houses. Every Monday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., I spent hours caring for this impressive 524 m², nhouse, cleaning different areas each day. Mas Darovie is located in the Empordanet plain, in Foixà, with breathtaking views and a flawless renovation that made every Monday feel like being in a movie.

Over the years, I fell in love with the property. I watched their grandchildren grow, saw the owners age, and felt how every corner of the house had its own story. My relationship with them grew, and I felt that the house was becoming part of my life.

What makes this story special is that it all started from humble beginnings: working as a cleaner in other people’s homes, with perseverance and sacrifice, learning every day and getting to know the property inside out. Little by little, that experience transformed into something much bigger.

In 2021, an unexpected day arrived: I was told I could no longer work there. At first, I didn’t understand why, but within minutes it became clear: Kylli and Blanca were moving to the Canary Islands to enjoy a warmer climate during their retirement. The biggest surprise was yet to come: they offered me the opportunity to manage Mas Darovie while they were away, because I knew the property inside out and also had experience running my other rural houses in Madremanya.

I was stunned: a huge house for groups, isolated, surrounded by nature, with dreamlike views, carrying the same essence as my other properties. It was the perfect opportunity to transform my life through effort, dedication, and passion, and take my rural tourism project to a new level.

Today, Mas Darovie is part of my story alongside my other two rural houses. Each has its own identity, but they all share the same spirit: isolation, connection with nature, comfort, and unique experiences for those seeking rural getaways in Girona, the Empordà, and the Costa Brava.

Managing these three properties allows me to continue my legacy, transform each space with care, and offer my guests the chance to enjoy authentic experiences in nature, with peace, tranquility, and comfort.
